Nieuws: Treyarch blijft Wii trouw
Mark Lamia, hoofd van Treyarch, heeft aan Gamerzines laten weten dat zijn studio de Wii trouw blijft, en dus de toekomstige Call of Duty ook op de Wii zal uitbrengen.

Lamia vertelde verder ook dat een er een hoop werk nodig is om het beste uit Nintendo’s console te krijgen, maar dat ze hun best doen om de game zo “gelijk mogelijk” aan de games op de PlayStation 3 en Xbox 360 te krijgen. Hij vertelde dat het hun vierde online shooter op de Wii zal worden, en dat er geen enkele studio is die hen dat na kan doen:
| Quote: “Whereas we’re able to create the same assets that can be used on PC, PS3 and 360, we actually have to do quite a bit of work on both the technology and assets for Wii. The investment is heavy to get it working on the Wii, but we’re committed to it as we were with Modern Warfare, World at War and Call of Duty 3. “It’ll be our fourth Wii shooter. Is there another team that’s put out four Wii shooters? There probably is, but certainly not online. And look, we have a huge online fanbase and they’re playing it over and over. We obviously want to please that audience – the Wii has been great.” |
Josh Olin, community manager, voegde hier nog wat aan toe:

Call of Duty: Black Ops
De door Treyarch ontwikkelde game speelt zich af tijdens de Koude Oorlog en bevat het sleutelmomenten uit die periode – zoals het conflict in Vietnam en de beroemde bestorming van de Iraanse ambassade in 1980, London.
